Brisk Teaching, a California-based company, has successfully raised $15 million in a Series A funding round to enhance its artificial intelligence (AI) tools designed for K-12 education. This funding comes at a time when AI is increasingly being integrated into educational institutions, with a focus on addressing teacher shortages.
The funding round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors such as Owl Ventures, South Park Commons, and Springbank Collective. The capital will be used for market expansion and personalized student support, among other initiatives. Previously, in September, Brisk Teaching raised $6.9 million during a seed funding round.
Arman Jaffer, founder of Brisk Teaching, emphasized the potential of generative AI to transform education by allowing teachers to focus more on building relationships with students. He stated that Brisk aims to unify existing classroom tools and ultimately replace outdated systems with an AI-driven educational technology stack.
This initiative reflects a broader trend in which AI is rapidly permeating educational frameworks, as officials, educators, and stakeholders strive to adapt to new technological advancements.
