One of the most difficult aspects of learning Korean is mastering its unique writing system, Hangul. Hangul is composed of 24 characters, which are grouped into syllabic blocks. This makes it difficult for non-native speakers to read and write Korean, as the characters can be difficult to remember. Additionally, Korean grammar is quite different from English, and many words are not easily translated. For example, the Korean language uses an extensive honorific system which has no equivalent in English.
