What is Japanese grammar like?

Japanese grammar is relatively simple, especially when compared to English. There are only two verb tenses in Japanese (present and past), and conjugating verbs is a relatively straightforward process. In addition, Japanese has no articles (like “a” or “the”), and nouns are not pluralized. This makes Japanese grammar much easier to learn than many other languages.
