MENDON, Ill. — The Mendon School Board voted 4-3 on March 19 to grant Superintendent Scott Riddle a one-year contract, despite a recent survey indicating that less than 10 percent of the teachers union in Community Unit School District 4 supported him. The survey, conducted by Brent Zanger, a third-grade teacher and president of the Unit Four Teachers Association, revealed significant discontent among the staff.
